Hey little darlin..how you doing? It's Sunday morning and it's very cold here ( for us) so I'm just waiting until the sun comes up a bit before I can get out in the yard and begin working. You wouldn't reconize the backyard now..we have built decks over much of the yard and have a swing area..a fire pit area.. a "dance floor area"..and a couple of other "areas" since you were last here. Since I don't have to work now I have lots of time to build new things but I have had to be real careful because I'm still hurting a lot. I have to go see another doctor tomorrow to see if they can fix my leg. I keep telling everyone that they just need to tighten my screws a little tighter and I'll be fine. We have a new dog..I think I told you..a little poodle whose name is Aleaha (A-leah-a) and she is suppose to be Grandma's but seems to think my lap is a whole lot softer!! I am going to try and send you and your Mom and Dad a picture of her but I'm not sure if I can. Hopefully I can figure out how to do it? How is school going?? Have you made any new friends yet? Just remember that any one of them "Yankee" boys wants to be your boyfriend they will have to go thru me first!! Hope you have a great day and I'll write to you soon. Love Grandpa

Hi Olivia! It was so good to see your beautiful little face on your pictures. You have grown so much! I have some pj's for you, but I don't think they will fit you since you've become such a grown up girl! That's okay, I have some other things to send to you too! You or Mom need to email me your address so I can send a package to you. I am so glad you are doing well in school and have your own room. You look very happy....and cold in all of that snow. We miss you and think of you often! Love you!

It's very early in the morning and I can't sleep so I thought I would check out my "bestest" granddaughter. Things in Texas are sure going to be a lot lonelier with you gone. I know that we weren't able to see you that much last year and I am so sorry about that, but things are starting to look up for Grandpa now. I still hurt at times but I'll be ok. You please be safe and know that Grandma and I will always love you and miss you forever. Remember that you were born a Texas girl and will forever be a Texas girl no matter where you live and you will always have someone's heart in Texas!! Love Grandpa
